The Relationship Between Online Socialization and Online Social Identity

Social identity is the part of an individual's self-perception membership in a social group and it develops through socialization process. People interact with many different agents such as family, school, friends, mass media, work, professional groups. In twenty-first century, has not been able to escape influence digital technologies, they have considered alternative traditional channels. Web 2.0 technologies become essential source online socialization. However, question whether (OS) impacts formation identities (OSI) quite limited literature. Therefore, this study examined effects internet addiction (IA) average time spent on media (ATSM) (as socialization) OSI, mediate effect when young people are together their family members (TSIWTF). A quantitative method was used, data were collected from 272 university students. According results, there relationship between OS TSIWTF partly mediates relation.
